Programs

Return to Row

We provide a short refresher program for masters returning to rowing and will then integrate them into social or competitive crews.

Competitive Rowing

We aim to develop our masters rowers to a level where they can perform well at local, state and national rowing regattas.

Social Rowing

Our members say about us

  • This photo sums up what I love about rowing. Having a relaxing break with the crew during an early morning row in the eight. Our cox captured the moment perfectly.”

  • Following my introduction to rowing through a corporate regatta, I joined the Brisbane Rowing Club (formerly Tattersalls) over 17 years ago. It was one of the best decisions I made, helping develop a good healthy lifestyle as well as making lifelong friendships along the way. My interest in rowing has seen me compete in Masters Regattas across our great country, as well as a World Masters Games in Italy.  I feel proud that I have competed for 15 consecutive years in Head of the Yarra, an iconic 8.6k race.

  • I am very much a ‘new face’ to rowing and this club. I have lived in Brisbane most of my life and in the last 15 years have lived on the river. I recall watching rowers and being impressed at the style and coordination they managed to exhibit. In 2019 I finally made the effort to get a few lessons and thanks to a very patient Coach (Ash), managed to row and stay upright. I underestimated how much I would like rowing – the exercise, the club ethos and the sheer enjoyment I get from being on the water with the crew, make it a great decision.
