Our members say about us

  • This photo sums up what I love about rowing. Having a relaxing break with the crew during an early morning row in the eight. Our cox captured the moment perfectly.”

  • When I started the ‘Learn to Row (LTR) program, little I knew how much impact rowing would have on my life! Rowing ticks all boxes for a perfect setup for the day. You are out in nature and see our beautiful river in a totally different light (mainly because normally you would be still asleep), you have your morning exercise done, and you are connecting with a wonderful group of people who are welcoming and supportive. It has been a bit over 6 months since I completed the LTR program but I couldn’t imagine a life without rowing anymore.

  • I am very much a ‘new face’ to rowing and this club. I have lived in Brisbane most of my life and in the last 15 years have lived on the river. I recall watching rowers and being impressed at the style and coordination they managed to exhibit. In 2019 I finally made the effort to get a few lessons and thanks to a very patient Coach (Ash), managed to row and stay upright. I underestimated how much I would like rowing – the exercise, the club ethos and the sheer enjoyment I get from being on the water with the crew, make it a great decision.
