BRISBANE ROWING CLUB
Brisbane Rowing Club (BRC) is a micro club for male and female masters rowers including beginners, social rowers and local, state, national and international competitor members range in age from 40s-70s. The club is situated on the West End reach of the Brisbane River, in the heart of the rowing community. BRC is located in the Rowing Queensland complex at Jane Street, West End. This is a great venue with ample car parking on the one-way road between the rowing sheds and Davies Park.
PROGRAMS FOR
EX ROWERS
RETURN TO ROWING
We provide a short refresher program for masters returning to rowing and will then integrate them into social or competitive crews.
COMPETITIVE ROWING
We aim to develop our masters rowers to a level where they can perform well at local, state and national rowing regattas. The club competes in a range of short course sprint races (1 km), including the Queensland and National Masters Rowing Championships; and endurance regattas (5 – 21 kms), including the Brisbane Winter Racing Series, Head of The Tweed, the Head of The Brisbane, The Brown Snake Omnium and Head of The Yarra.
LEARN TO ROW PROGRAM
FOR MALES AND FEMALES AGED 35-65
Program consists of a total of 8 coached sessions followed by a one month membership of the club.
All equipment (boats, oars); coaching; experienced rower in the stroke seat all provided by the club. You will also have personal insurance.

LEARN TO ROW
We provide coaching for people who want to learn how to row. See our calendar for learn-to-row sessions.
SOCIAL ROWING
We provide coaching for beginner rowers who only wish to ‘go for a paddle’ (this is subject to crew availability).

AFFILIATIONS
REGATTAS / EVENTS
There will seat fees for each race, plus at Lake Wyaralong Rowing Centre a $5.50 facility fee per rower/cox regardless of number of races. Also, a nominal trailer fee charged to all attendees to cover the cost of hiring the trailer/fuel.

COACHES
Coaches are a very precious resource, and we are lucky to have experienced and committed coaches who are intent on improving our rowing. They provide technical drills to improve each part of the stroke, goal oriented training programs and video reviews.
